Coming back

It has been a very long time since my last post. There's been a mix of hustle and bustle of ministry, as well as family health insanity.

1st my dad:

Thank you thank you for your prayers for his brain surgery. They surgery went well (a mere 3.5 hrs), and they were able to completely remove the cyst that he's had for 17 years! It's still amazing and mystifying to think about it. He's recovering fairly well, although I ask you continue to pray for him there.

2nd campus:

We ended off well with campus stuff and moved straight into staff retreats and conferences. We had a staff retreat in Ohio where we were able to disconnect from the work and reconnect with God and celebrate the good things that has been happening on campuses all over the ohio valley division. In January we trucked off to St. Louis to join 1200 other staff for our national staff conference. There we focused on "Campuses Renewed", heard amazing speakers (staff, deans, and professors), encouraged by testimonials from all over the country, and were reinvisioned and impassioned for our place in God's kingdom work in IV. It was a wonderful week of reconnecting with staff we don't normally see, and making new relationships.

3rd new semester:

We are now in our 2nd week of the new semester, and it has already show us great rejoicing and excitement, as well as great challenges. Staff have been taking students out to the Mt. Lair to talk to students about spirituality and Jesus. Karla was able to pray with one student to receive Christ for the 1st time!!!! Many of the freshmen who came along with me are now finding themselves excited to share their faith with others, and more open to talk to people in their classes. There is a great understanding of the need to talk about Jesus in our lives, and a growing desire to get out there and share it with the campus.

Please continue to pray for us as we strive to instill these things in our students.
