First semester coming to a close

It's been roughly 4 months since the beginning of my time with campus ministry, and the 1st semester is quickly drawing to a close. As I sit and reflect on the first week of advent and all that has happened I am filled with hope for our future ministry opportunities for next semester.

In honor of our Thanksgiving holiday I want to give thanks for all the Lord has done in the past several months:
-He helped me to finally graduate from WVU!!!
-He lovingly guided me to the position of campus staff with IV
-He's provided for me every step of the way through fund raising, finding living arrangements for Pitt, and making new friends in this time of transition
-He has given me a solid foundation back in Morgantown, full of family and friends who are extremely supportive in many ways with the IV ministry.
-And he has renewed relationships that have been on the rocks, or neglected, as well as allowing me to make new friendships of people I would not have met if not for the IV ministry.
-He has greatly blessed the Pitt Chapter this semester and given us great community and evangelistic opportunities

I am very honored and overjoyed to have this position of ministry on the college campus, and am thankful to all of you who have helped me get here in so many ways.

The hope I was speaking of before is exciting to me. We are motivating students at Pitt and CMU to get excited and start inviting people to come to the Hunger awareness/outreach we are doing at the end of January. The students are really catching the vision, and are showing much enthusiasm about the possibilities of things to come of this event. This outreach has been in prayer for the past several years, and this is the year that it will come to life. This is the year where people of every diversity will be challenged, not only in world affairs, but in their personal faith as well. This is the year that God is going to make himself known on the Pitt campus, and I fully believe that there will be a movement of the spirit at this event, a spirit of truth and action.
