Missionary in training...

As you can see I safely made to my 3 days training to Michigan and back.

About 12 new staff came to the training. It was a hard 3 days as we spent 12.5 hour days in seminars on topics like IV's doctrinal statement, how to have good bible studies and train Small group leaders, how to ask good questions, and how to give a biblical exposition. Those were just a few topics that were covered. Because there was so much content in a short period of time I honestly cannot remember everything we went over, but fortunately we were given a binder with everything we went over.

I will say that as tiring as the trip was, I learned a lot of good things to apply to m job as staff. After the sessions on Small Group leaders I became inspired to train the students we have in leading these groups. We currently have 2 (which I lead 1), however I am praying that more leaders will rise up and we will be able to have more groups all over campus.

All this training came in a timely manner as Harvest is this weekend. Harvest is our fall conference to help students in spiritual formation, in which I am in charge of a workshop on Justice. Fortunately I was able to recruit some help so we've been bouncing ideas off of each other, and are getting very excited of what God is going to be doing in the lives of the students. I feel even more confident and prepared now that I have gone through the training last week.

Please be in prayer for us as staff, as well as the students as we go into this weekend with expectant hearts.

Also, stay posted for a new update soon. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures and a little blip from the happenings of harvest next week.
